Entry Requirements
My House
Helping People Helping Themselves

Criteria

My House is a structured sober living environment that is designed to aid any
addict or alcoholic in making a smooth transition back to a productive and
rewarding life upon their completion of detox, or any inpatient treatment facility.

The following is a list of all criteria that must be met
by every member of My
House
, or any applicant thereof.

1.
An honest and sincere approach to their own recovery coupled with an
open mind and a humble attitude in dealing with others, and everyday events.
After all, as much as we would like for you to remain sober, and that’s a lot, you
have to want it more for yourself than we want it for you or it just will not work.

2.        The ability to become gainfully employed and support oneself in ones own
endeavors, if the applicant or member however does have a legitimate
impairment, or disability and could still meet the financial requirements of
My
House
, they would not be required to gain employment.
They would, however be expected to volunteer their services to some capacity in
the community.
We feel this is necessary as the idle mind is of great risk to an addict, or alcoholic,
it is unhealthy, and unproductive for anyone to do just nothing, as we have a
great deal to offer one another.
Information, Experience, Motivation, or perhaps just simple conversation with
someone that needs another person to talk to, or maybe just a smile.

3.        Each member of
My House will attend 90 AA/NA meetings in 90 days,
and at least 4 meetings a week thereafter.

4.        Each member will obtain a temporary sponsor within 7 days and a
permanent sponsor within 30 days.

5.        Every member will attend a weekly House Meeting to be held every
Monday evening at 6:30 P.M.  All members are expected to attend this mandatory
meeting, unless they are working.  When a member misses this meeting they are
required to meet with a staff member to review the topics, and events of said
meeting upon their return from work.

6.        Every member of
My House will be initially placed on a 10:30 P.M. Curfew
for the first 30 day period.  Overnight passes will be issued after a 60 day period.
Exceptions to these rules are: a death, or illness in the family.  These issues will
be dealt with on a case to case basis if the need should arise.

7.        Each member will submit to a random drug, or alcohol test upon request.
A mass test of the entire house will be of no charge to the members, however
individual testing will be paid for by the members tested.  The first test if free, any
additional tests will be at a rate of $3.00 per test.

8.        Each member must agree to respect every other person’s right to privacy,
